The most common cause of this issue is not treating the call like a "normal phone call" and saying "Hello" when picking up. The Automated Phone Call system will wait for the receiver to speak before playing the message. If it doesn't hear anything it assumes nobody is there and hangs up.
- If we hear a short message - eg "Hello Dan speaking" it will read out the message
- If we hear a long message - eg. "Hi you've reached Dan, I'm not available right now so please leave me a message and I'll get back to you" it will read out the message after the beep, and will note that the message was left in voicemail
- If we don't hear anything, it will fail the call attempt
