Configuring 3rd party phones for use with Control Networks Business VoIP

When using a 3rd party phone with Business VoIP, please use the following configuration guide as a starting point for basic settings.  There are a number of articles in the Knowledge base demonstrating configuration of supported phones - please only use this article in the event that your brand or model of device is not listed.

 

Protocol:

Server / Proxy / Registration Server:

sip.neural.net.au

 

 

Codec:

ALAW / G711A

(or as configured in device settings at http://voip.controlnetworks.com.au)

 

 

Transport:

UDP

(or TCP if configured in device settings at http://voip.controlnetworks.com.au)

 

 

Port:

5060

 

 

Registration Expiry:

300

 

 

DTMF Mode:

rfc2833

 

 

NAT Mapping:

yes

 

 

NAT KeepAlive:

yes

 

 

Username:

02xxxxx

(replace this with the 02 number of the account)

 

Password:

(as configured in device settings at http://voip.controlnetworks.com.au)
