Operation Times (Automatic Day/Night Switch)

Operation Times

Operation times can be set at various places throughout the PBX. While each set operates independently, the setup process is identical. Clicking Operation Times in any location will pop up the following, detailed below. Rules can be added and removed by the green or red cross.

Description

Operation Times

Enables or disables operation times. If disabled, all calls will pass to the destination regardless of these rules

Default Destination

Defines the target destination for calls received not in open times

Greeting

Can be used to set a greeting played to all callers during closed times

 

 

Custom Destinations

Destination Extension

The target destination’s identifier number

Start day for this rule

End day for this rule

Open Day/Time Range

Legacy setting, replace by Open Days

Description

A friendly name to display for this rule

Closed Dates

Description

A friendly name to display for this rule

Date

The date this rule is effective (as dd-mm-YYYY)

From

Start time for this rule

To

End time for this rule


Operation times are matched in the following order:

Closed Dates > Custom Destinations > Open Days

Therefore, if you have a closed date set that conflicts with an Open Day or Custom Destination, the Closed Date will be honoured. If there are no matching rules after checking these three fields, the call will be passed to Default Destination.
